Cybog believe Tate announced retirement out of Emotion
Former UFC Women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate lost to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 on November 12, 2016 at Madison square Garden. After fight, Tate announced her retirement and shocked her fans.
Cris Cyborg doesn’t think Tate will leave UFC, she believes Tae was speaking out of emotion.
“I’m announcing my retirement, you guys. I love you all so much. I’ve been doing this for over a decade. Thank you so much for being here. I love this sport forever. It’s not my time anymore. It’s the future’s time,” said Tate following the loss.
“I don’t think she is going to retire,” Cyborg told Submission Radio. “I think she just after she lost the fight she was emotional. It was the second fight in a row that she lost.”
“I think she needs a break, like a break. I think she was mentally in this fight and I think she emotionally said she was going to retire. I don’t think she’s going to retire,” she said.
“She’s a young girl. She’s done a lot of things for the sport. I really think she just got emotional after the fight.”
